Redwood Sorrel

Redwood Sorrel (Oxalis oregano) is a ground cover plant belonging to the Oxalidaceae family that likes dappled light to full shade in moist forest settings. If the plant gets hit with full sunlight it will fold its leaves downward until the shade returns and then open its leaves again. It is pretty plant with its clover shaped leaves and small five petaled flowers with reddish veins. This plant spreads by rhizomes and forms rosettes. It can be quite hard to get rid of if for some reason you decide to get rid of it after it gets established. It makes a great filler plant.
